Flowers On My Table

Yesterday, I came home from the shops late in the afternoon and my darling husband was already home. When I walked in the back door I found these sitting on the table. You see, I've been feeling quite down the past few days and he thought these might make me feel a bit better. Well he was right! Such an extravagant show of his thoughtfulness of me. I just adore them, but I've always had trouble fully appreciating such a beautiful display of flowers because I know how much they would cost. Then I start thinking about how else that money could have been used. So silly I know. It's not like he buys me flowers all the time. Maybe once or twice a year. It's his special way of showing me how much he thinks about me.
It is very nice to be so spoiled and so adored. I really must focus on that part. Such a lucky girl to be married to such a thoughtful, loving man. I do hope you enjoy these gorgeous flowers too!

Autumn Leaves

This is the street that I drive down five days a week, two times a day. Angel's school is at the end of this street. It's a very pretty street with the trees making a canopy of leaves and branches over the road most of the way. It's even prettier now that it's autumn and the leaves are turning. When we drove down this morning I took notice of the leaves falling. It made me feel very calm and happy. An elderly gentleman was busy raking up leaves in his front yard. There are so many leaves on the ground. Such an everyday sort of sight, but it calmed me. Autumn calms me and makes me feel happy.
I'm going to go and hang some washing now and enjoy the crispness of the air with the warmth of the sunshine on my skin. I LOVE autumn!

New Pegs

These are my new pegs. I used them for the first time yesterday. The old ones were brittle and breaking from years of use. The old ones have served me well. I know pegs aren't a very exciting thing. In fact, they are one of those tools we use often that we don't even think about and just take for granted, but, as I picked up the first of my new pegs and hung some washing I felt the difference. Clean, smooth pegs. Not brittle and rough. It was a tiny joy in my day. Who knew that new pegs could put a smile on my face, but they did. It's just one of those little things that most people wouldn't even think about, but it made hanging the washing a little more enjoyable. Silly, I know, but hey, that's what makes the world go round.

Park Discovery

When driving around Melbourne I like to drive along roads I haven't been down before. It's a great way of getting to know my way around and where all the roads connect. Yesterday, coming home from Chapel St, I took a street that I knew came out on to the main road that goes to our place. As we were driving along we spotted a fantastic park with lots of trees and playground equipment.
The biggest tree there even has a platform built into it, like a treehouse. So much fun for the kids and the adults too!

I love trees, so a park that has lots of them, especially if they are beautiful, is definately a winner.

Comment Leaving Problem

Apparently there is a problem with leaving comments on my blog posts. I have tried to fix it and I'm not sure that I have as noone has let me know. I can leave a comment, so would you please try and leave one so I know if it's fixed or not. Most of my followers are either facebook friends or have my email anyway, so if there is still a problem would you be kind enough to let me know. If you know how to fix it, please let me know that too.
