After The Rain Macro

I grabbed my good camera this morning after it had stopped raining to play around with the macro setting and capture water drops on various things in my garden. I've never really played around with macro photography, but I have to say that it was fun and I really like the results.

The climbing tree is about to burst forth with new, green foliage.

A spiders web in the tree. Perfect for holding drops of water.

I think these delicate little flowers are called snowflakes. I think.

Run Naked in the Rain...Just Once!

This is my 100th post! Can you believe it? Because it's my 100th post, I wanted to make it a little bit memorable, and what better way to do that than with a bit of nudity.

Have you ever run around naked in the rain?

It's fun!

It's invigorating!

It's cleansing!

It's liberating!

It makes you feel really alive!

There's no experience quite like it!

I've done it! Try it sometime. Go on, just once!

Blog, Flowers, Kids

Yes, I know, I know. I've changed the look of my blog...again! I've told you before, I get bored easily. It's fun creating a new blog look. Finding blog backgrounds that I like and then making up a header using a photo I have taken. It's simple, creative fun!

The flowers in the photo below were picked by some very cute, little hands and given to me as a love gift.

I LOVE them because of who gave them to me!

He did! The short one in the green jumper.

SHE is posing for the photo too. There are several photos with them posing in very silly ways. His are the most comical though. Maybe because he's a boy with too much energy. I swear, his energy levels are directly proportionate to my fatigue levels a lot of the time.

BTW, I'd like to point out that this photo was taken late yesterday afternoon. It was probably about 10-11C. Notice what Miss Angel is wearing? Monkey is wearing a singlet, long sleeve t/shirt and a jumper. She is just wearing a t/shirt! How she never gets sick, I do not know.

Let It Snow!

It snowed!!! I was so excited to have snow falling on me! Fresh, powdery snow. Bliss! Pure, freezing cold bliss!

I bought a peaked cap to wear under my hood so the snow didn't build up on my glasses.

*Note to self...wear contacts next time!

We tobogganed.

  Just so you know, I don't actually have a hump back. I was wearing a hoodie underneath my snow jacket. Just wanted to point that out.

We had snowball fights.

We sat.

He threw snow at Mummy.

I sat and enjoyed the powder.

Some tourists asked to have photos with the kids.They were so excited when we said yes.

I was in awe of gumnuts covered in snow and ice. Something I had never seen before.

Then we warmed ourselves by the fire when we got back to the house.

A most fabulous weekend indeed!!!

Little Champion

Our little champion, throwing hoops. Danny put this up for him yesterday and Monkey boy just loves it. He was out there at 7am today. It was 4C outside, but he didn't care. He just wanted to throw his basketball into the hoop.
